One of the responsibilities of the Administration and Personnel Committee is to assist the Pastor in matters relating to personnel and may include such tasks as compiling a job description for a vacant staff position, consulting on salary and interviewing applicants. The level of involvement is at the discretion of the Pastor.
A second responsibility is to meet annually with the Pastor, the Cantor, and (optional) the Campus Pastor in order to listen to their assessment of their work and to receive any recommendations for change that they might like to suggest. These interviews are typically done in early fall. Following the interviews, the committee makes annual salary recommendations for all staff which it then presents to the Treasurer and the Stewardship Committee.
The Administration and Personnel Committee for 2012 comprises three members from the Council: Matthew Christian (chair), Monica Horton and Louise Anderson.
